The Plasser Unloading Station ULS 3000 is designed to be installed onto a railroad flat car and transport ballast, spoils, and/or other material which are supplied by Plasser Ballast Undercutting/Cleaning Machines or MFS-type Conveyor and Hopper Cars.
The unloading conveyor can be rotated from side to side, allowing spoils or ballast to be discharged into ballast cars on adjacent tracks, dump trucks or on the ground to the side of the track up to a distance of 40 feet from centerline of track. The power for the conveying and unloading system is self-contained on the ULS 3000.
