METRO 4x4

The Plasser METRO 4x4 is a heavy-duty, high-performance production and switch tamping machine specially designed for the stringent requirements of transit and commuter railway systems. It is standard equipped with fully automatic, computer controlled (AGGS) lifting, and leveling and lining systems. Touch screen monitors allow quick access to all machine functions and the integrated diagnostic system assists the operator with effective trouble shooting.

The machine is equipped with four individual tamping units mounted in laterally adjustable slide frames. The machine is also fitted with a combination rail clamp for switch and production tamping. Optionally, the machine can be equipped with Plasser’s unique three-point integrated auxiliary turnout lifting system for switch and interlocking work.

The Plasser METRO 4X4 utilizes design concepts and components that have been well proven worldwide. The machine is constructed for ease of operation and maintenance and is backed by Plasser, the world leader in track maintenance technology.

The Plasser METRO 4x4 ZW’s unique design utilizes a center turntable and lifting cylinders, one on each corner of the machine, which allows loading and unloading on lowboy trucks. The Plasser METRO 4x4 ZW utilizes design concepts and components that have been well proven world-wide.
